Yesterday me, mum and Zorro went to Sjonhem here on Gotland to meet up for a trial
in game tracking. This would be first time for Zorro to compete in open class, where there was some new rules and with that a harder way of tracking. The trail itself was a bit longer than 600 m, had been laying for minimum time 15 hours. Things that were new was that you had to go into this route and let the dog search for the trails start. This was a nervous thing for me since you were given no directions whatsoever and the route was like 25x25 m. But Zorro did great. In fact he did awesome whole way except on the return where he lost the trail sadly, but even though he was given a 2nd prize, the judgers liked him so much he was given a special prize, being the judgers favourite of all the dogs. A dog they'd like to own and hunt with. So over all I am very satisfied with Zorro's trailing, we just need to practise on the return :)
